STANDARDS

Holding the industry accountable. Redefining what proper care looks like at every level.

Tara’s journey in nail care began much earlier. She was performing nails from the age of twelve, demonstrating an early talent and entrepreneurial instinct that would later evolve into a career defined by specialization, innovation, and elevated standards. Over time, she developed a deeper understanding of an often overlooked problem: many clients were receiving routine cosmetic services while underlying nail and skin conditions, preventable damage, and improper techniques continued unchecked. Rather than accept the limitations of conventional service culture, Tara chose to challenge it.

In 2017, she made the defining decision to narrow her focus to specialized foot care, stepping away from the broader service model to build a niche centered on proper technique, structured maintenance, and long term outcomes. Through years of hands on experience, pattern recognition, and client trust earned largely through referrals, she developed a disciplined framework that would later become known as the NEATEN Method.

Licensed since 1998,

What distinguishes Tara’s work is her ability to bridge two worlds that have often remained separate: the beauty industry and a more anatomy aware, standards based model of care. She has become known for translating advanced concepts into practical systems that licensed professionals can apply responsibly, while also delivering elevated experiences for consumers seeking something beyond ordinary salon care.

Today, Tara leads NEATEN with a dual mission. For consumers, the brand represents thoughtful, specialized care rooted in standards rather than shortcuts. For licensed professionals, it offers advanced education designed to strengthen skill set, client retention, service value, and professional credibility. Through training programs, certification pathways, and future product innovation, NEATEN is being built as a category-defining brand with lasting relevance.

At the center of that vision is Tara Seay, a founder who did not simply create a business but identified a gap in an industry and committed herself to building a better standard.
