NEATEN – Foot Care Appointment FAQ

  • The NEATEN Method is our signature approach to foot care. It focuses on restoring the health and appearance of your nails and skin using advanced techniques and professional-grade products. Every detail is performed with safety, precision, and long-term results in mind.

  • At NEATEN, our services are designed for clients who are ready to restore and maintain the long-term health of their feet—not simply cover concerns with polish.

If you have nail fungus or curved nails (including those in the bracing process), you will not be eligible for nail polish unless you meet our strict special-event criteria and understand the risks. In these cases, polish may:

    • Impact the effectiveness of your care plan

    • Affect brace adhesiveness

    • Harden the nail plate, making corrective improvement more difficult

    • Hide changes we need to monitor closely

Special-event polish is offered only after an assessment and is applied under strict guidelines, which may include the use of a fresh, unopened bottle (purchased by the client in fungal cases) and prompt removal after the event.

If you are not ready for this level of care, or if your main priority is cosmetic coverage rather than improving nail and foot health, we kindly ask that you do not book with us. Our focus is on delivering results that restore and protect the health of your feet for the long term.

  • Your first visit includes an in-depth intake, evaluation of your feet, and a restorative NEATEN Method service. First-time appointments may take up to 2.5 hours depending on the condition of your feet. Most appointments last 60–90 minutes only if there are no nail or skin concerns or if you're coming in for post-care nail maintenance.

  • It depends on your specific needs. As mentioned above, most maintenance appointments are 60–90 minutes. First-time restorative services may require additional time. We’ll let you know what to expect before your visit.

  • Yes. Many of our clients have healthy feet and choose NEATEN to maintain them through expert, damage-free care that’s rooted in hygiene and long-term results.

  • After completing our Pedicure Client Questionnaire (PDQ), we’ll review your information and send available dates. A deposit is required to reserve your time.

  • We honor a 15-minute grace period. After that, your appointment may be shortened, rescheduled, or canceled depending on the schedule. Your time slot is reserved specifically for you—please plan accordingly.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows will forfeit the deposit. We understand emergencies happen and will always aim to be fair, but last-minute changes affect our ability to serve others.
