THE ORIGIN OF NEATEN®
The name NEATEN® represents more than just aesthetics—it's about precision, order, and care. The word means “to arrange in an orderly, tidy way,” which perfectly captures the expert approach we bring to professional foot care.
Breaking it down further, "Neat Ten" symbolizes the transformation of all ten nails—whether on the hands or feet—through expert techniques and thoughtful, targeted care.
Originally created to serve consumers in need of proper nail care, NEATEN quickly became known for delivering results in cases where traditional pedicure methods failed. But as demand grew and client outcomes improved, it became clear that lasting change in the industry wouldn’t come from services alone—it would require education.
That's when the focus expanded to include training for licensed professionals, equipping them with the techniques, tools, and knowledge needed to provide safer, smarter, and more effective nail and foot care.
A BRAND BUILT FOR PROFESSIONALS
In 2017, recognizing the increasing damage caused by aggressive and incorrect pedicure techniques, we made the strategic decision to focus exclusively on pedicure services. This commitment allowed us to refine our approach and deliver consistently healthier outcomes.
As the brand has evolved, so has the mission. NEATEN is now building the future of professional foot care—offering not only results-driven services but also high-performance products and hands-on training designed to support nail professionals in raising the standard of care.
As we grow, we remain dedicated to setting the highest standard in pedicures, with a vision to eventually reintroduce manicures as part of our specialized system.
OUR FOUNDER
Tara Seay is a licensed nail specialist and foot care professional with over 25 years of hands-on experience and a deep-rooted commitment to advancing the standard of pedicure services. Her journey began at just 12 years old, offering nail and foot care on her parents’ back porch—an early expression of the precision, care, and purpose that would shape her career.
After becoming licensed in 1998, Tara spent years perfecting her technique while witnessing the long-term damage caused by aggressive and incorrect methods still common in the industry. In 2017, she made the decision to focus exclusively on foot care—a move that allowed her to study, refine, and ultimately redefine how pedicures should be delivered.
Tara’s unique approach blends cosmetic detail with clinical intention. Her work has not only helped countless clients achieve healthier feet and nails, but has also drawn the attention of physicians who now refer their patients to her for advanced foot care services.
Driven by results and purpose, she developed The NEATEN Method—a proprietary system that delivers clean, consistent, and cosmetically beautiful outcomes. As the founder of Neaten Ventures LLC and Neaten Professional Systems LLC, Tara is now creating pathways for professionals to access elevated education, effective tools, and performance-driven products through the NEATEN brand.
Above all, she is passionate about restoring dignity, confidence, and real care to every client and every nail professional who chooses NEATEN.
